5 GCSEs at grade 4-9 (A*-C) including English + Maths
You will develop both creative and technical camera and digital skills and build up a substantial portfolio of your own photography inspired by the work of established artists and photographers. You will look at the work of other photographers and learn how to analyse and evaluate images using specialist terms and vocabulary.
You will be introduced to digital photography and explore creative ways to manipulate images, including use of Adobe Photoshop and hands-on image manipulation.
A number of specifications will be changing and prospectus entries are based on information we have to date. This means that course content may be subject to change.
Examinations + coursework
At the end of the course you will have a full and interesting portfolio of photographic work. Photography is particularly useful if you want to go on to further study in art and design, media and film, photography and digital imaging, as well as being a valuable practical skill. You may wish to use your portfolio to support applications for a Foundation Diploma in Art & Design or specialist Degree level courses.
