You will learn about the care needs of different groups, including the elderly, young children and people with disabilities and how care professionals meet these needs.
Assignments and projects are based on realistic workplace situations and you will learn about the standards expected in care settings. The course includes essential work placements so you can develop your practical skills and work alongside Health and Social Care professionals.

Examination, assignments + work placement observation.
Students from this course have gone on to university to study social work, adult social care, child social care, nursing, paramedic studies, mental health nursing and occupational therapy. We work in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield University and many others who offer a range of courses in related areas. Some students go on to employment in a health and social care setting.
