We know you have high aspirations and BIG dreams and we are here to help you achieve them.
We will give you all the opportunities and support to make the best version of yourself. That’s why we talk about Project You. You may have aspirations to go to University or find an apprenticeship or full-time employment whichever path you choose we are here to help you realise your ambitions.
Each year over 85% of our students progress onto University, that’s about 300 students every year. Some are now successful doctors, dentists and lawyers or have a career in aerospace or own their own business. Indeed, one of our most notable ex-students is the former Lord Mayor of Sheffield Majid Majid. The key to our success is that every student has an Academic Tutor who will help guide them individually through the UCAS process. We are particularly proud of the high variety of destinations our student progress to; Cambridge, Oxford, Russell Group universities and even universities such as the University of California. The sky really is the limit!
If you are more focused on finding an apprenticeship, we work closely with the Sheffield wide apprenticeship service and we have our own bespoke apprenticeship group. Whatever route you choose we are committed to ensuring you have a positive destination to move on to.
Project You starts the moment you join us. To make sure you stand out from the crowd we offer you a wide range of opportunities to develop you as a person. Through the government backed Gatsby Benchmark you have an entitlement to understand what employers are looking for and to understand what it feels like to be successful in a workplace setting. Working closely with the national and local Business Together groups means we can arrange mentoring, CV writing and internship opportunities for all of our students. Or you could apply to become one of student ambassadors or join our nationally acclaimed Career Ready programme.
We are excited to meet you and join you in your journey to the next phase. It’s time to start working on you!
