31st December 2020 Update
Hi everyone
I hope that you are keeping safe and well and enjoying your break.
Yesterday afternoon the Government announced that schools and colleges would have a delayed opening after Christmas. This means that we have had to make changes to our plans.
Next week (week beginning 4th January)
- All lessons will be Remote Learning.
- Exams will go ahead as planned - but you should only come into the building if you have an exam.
- Support sessions and revision sessions will also be Remote Learning. Your teachers will give you further information.
Week beginning 11th January
- Exams will go ahead as planned.
- Lessons in the Sixth Form will begin for some groups. Please check your emails and Cedar to find out when you need to come in.
- During this week we hope to start offering Covid-19 tests to students. Further information about arrangements for tests will be sent out as soon as possible.
Week beginning 18th January
- Lessons in the Sixth Form for all groups.
If you will have difficulty accessing resources online, please contact your teachers on Monday so that we can make arrangements to support you.
I am very sorry to make these changes at such a late stage, but it is really important that we follow the Government guidelines. If the national guidance changes we will review arrangements and let you know.
In the meantime, please keep checking for information from your teachers.

30th December 2020 Update
Hi everyone
I hope that you are safe and well and have had a good break.
This afternoon the Secretary of State for Education announced changes for the opening of schools and colleges next week and we have already had messages from students asking us what that means for Longley Park Sixth Form.
If you have an examination or controlled assessment next week please don’t worry. These will go ahead as planned.
It is possible that we will have to make alternative arrangements for lessons next week. We are awaiting further information about this and will let you know arrangements tomorrow.
