Career Ready Capital Experience

38 students and 4 staff travelled by mega bus and stayed at the YHA St Pancras.  Students spent Wednesday afternoon and evening sightseeing including visiting the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, which students really enjoyed – to Buckingham Palace, along The Mall to Trafalgar Square, down Whitehall to Downing Street and Westminster. Although it was cold and dark, London was lit up ready for Christmas and students loved it!

Next Day was an amazing experience at the Dominion Theatre, The Capital Experience led by Action Jackson and listening to other inspirational motivational speakers.  From there students split into 3 groups;  STEM students visited Facebook, Creative students visited Channel 4, Business students were welcomed and provided with an interactive visit to Financial Times.    From there we took a flying visit to the hustle and bustle of  Covent Gardens then the 3 groups were reunited at Victoria Shopping complex for some refreshments before leaving London to arrive back in Sheffield.
