December Trial Exam Information

Dear Parent/Carer  

On 19th, 20th and 21st of December the Sixth Form will be running a series of trial exams and intervention sessions to support students’ preparation for exams and assessments.  These will replace the everyday timetable and students will be given details of the sessions or trial exams they must attend. 

The trial exams will give students the vital experience of real exams to prepare them fully for their formal exams. The sessions are 

Monday 19th December 09.00am – 12.00pm 

Monday 19th December 13.00pm – 16.00pm

Tuesday 20th December 09.00am – 12.00pm

Tuesday 20th December 13.00pm - 16.00pm 

Wednesday 21st December 09.00am – 12.00pm 

Students will receive a timetable of trial exams on Cedar and information of other sessions from their teachers. Students should check these and ensure they are aware when their exam/ session is running and plan to ensure they arrive at least 15 minutes before. 

These sessions have been designed to accelerate learner progress, build skills and confidence. Attendance at the exams and sessions is therefore compulsory. Trial exams will be marked and returned to students in the new year. 

Normal timetables will resume for all students when we return on Monday 9th January 2023.
