Following a new statement from the World Health Organisation, Government are now revising their guidance on face coverings for staff and students in Year 7 and above in England.
In line with this guidance, from Tuesday 2 September we will require staff and students to wear face coverings in public areas of the Sixth Form. This includes Reception, corridors and the plaza and while queuing in the café. You can find the Government guidance here.
You will not be required to wear a face covering in lessons, although you may choose to do so. It is important that face coverings are stored safely if they are removed, ideally in a ziplock plastic bag.
Some individuals are exempt from wearing a face covering, either because they would find it difficult to put on or remove a face covering or because of a medical condition. If you think this may apply to you, please let us know.
