Mental Health Awareness Week: Taking Action Together
This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week focuses on a powerful theme: Action. While raising awareness is an important step, meaningful change happens when we take action to support our own mental health and that of others.
Taking action doesn’t have to mean doing something big. Small, everyday steps—such as checking in with a friend, taking time to rest, or speaking openly about how we feel—can help us feel more hopeful and less powerless. When these individual actions come together, they create a stronger, more supportive community.
Although we have made significant progress in recent years in how we understand and talk about mental health, there is still more to be done. It is vital that we continue to take proactive steps to support wellbeing and prevent people from becoming unwell in the first place.
As a Sixth Form, we will be marking the week with the following activities:

We encourage all students to get involved, support one another, and take positive action—however small. Together, we can continue to build a community where everyone feels supported and able to thrive.
