You will explore a variety of different tools and systems that are used within the world of work. You will also review relationships between hardware and software that form an IT system, and the way that systems work individually and together. Social media websites are massive in businesses and are a vital part of making sure effective communication is given to customers.  

Details

Problem solving is an essential skill within this subject and life. This subject requires students to be able to explore the logical and structured ways that computer systems process data to develop programs, processes and systems that solve specific problems. You will also explore the relationship between hardware and software as part of a computer system. 

You will look at social media within businesses and create a campaign to run live. You will develop knowledge and practical skills in the field of information and communications technology, including web design and e-commerce, data communications, expert systems and computing. You will complete practical projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations and find out about career routes in IT.
