Our opportunity
We are looking to recruit an individual to join our additional learning support department which works closely across all college teams, who has a flexible approach to supporting students and will play a key role in the continued development of additional learning support department within the sixth form, ensuring they continue to meet the evolving needs of students to ensure an inclusive and effective educational environment working closely with the additional Learning Support Manager and team of additional learning support coordinators.
The role will include supporting students to overcome barriers to learning; this will involve providing individual support on a one-to-one basis to students with additional needs, the delivery of support in the classroom, small group interventions, exam arrangements, keyworker for students with high needs and liaison with parents/ carers and teachers to secure the best outcomes for the student.
Experience of working with young people with special educational needs and/ or disabilities including those with educational health and care plans, general educational qualifications at Level 3 and good communication and organisational skill are needed.
