Full time, 52 weeks, Temporary for one year - starting February 2026

The Role

We are seeking a Management Information Systems (MIS) Officer to play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate student data and supporting key operational processes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on detail, problem-solving and delivering high-quality information to enable effective decision-making.

You will:

  • Manage and validate student records, ensuring compliance with ESFA funding rules and audit requirements.
  • Prepare and submit ILR returns and maintain data integrity using tools such as DSAT/FIS.
  • Support the development and management of Arbor workflows and timetabling systems (including Edval).
  • Provide MIS support to staff, students and external agencies, including training and advice.
  • Assist with enrolment, exams data checks and progression tracking.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and maintain robust documentation for all processes.

This is a temporary one year Maternity Cover or until the post holder returns, starting February 2026

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office (Excel, Access) and confidence with MIS platforms.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across teams.
  • GCSE English and Maths (Level 2) and an IT qualification (minimum Level 2).
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
