Teacher of Maths (Maternity Cover)

Maternity cover - Temporary from 1st September 2025 - May 2026

Full Time 

Salary - NSP 1 - 9 (£32,178 - £49,725)

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, highly motivated and specialist teacher of Maths to support our vision to transform the lives of young people in North Sheffield.  

We are looking for someone who:

  • is an inspirational teacher with a strong occupational/ academic background
  • has the ambition to develop their career through Continuing Professional Development
  • can work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the success of the department and the sixth form on our journey to ‘Outstanding’
  • can use their expertise and industry experience to deliver a high-quality curriculum
  • can develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of our learners in readiness for their next steps into higher education, training and employment
  • has a proven track record of achieving good or outstanding results, though we also welcome applications from ECTs

We support a number of our students to improve their Maths skills and qualifications as part of their study programme to enable positive progression to a variety of future destinations. We pride ourselves on building confidence in our students and re-engaging them in learning maths, and as a result, the progress our students make is above the national average and we want to continue to build on this.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the 16-19 setting of a 2-19 multi-academy trust which is committed to raising academic standards and attainment. You will be provided with a programme of professional development that will enable you to continue to develop your craft in a sixth form that is highly focused on staff wellbeing.
