The AAQ’s in Applied and Medical Science are taught with A Level Chemistry to give a balance of Vocational and A level Sciences. The A Level Chemistry is taught in a supported way with additional resources to help learners succeed.
Learners will study a combination of applied science units alongside chemistry-focused modules. Core topics include chemical principles, reactions, and analytical techniques, integrated with biology and physics concepts to provide a well-rounded scientific foundation. The course emphasizes practical laboratory work, quantitative analysis, and the application of chemistry in medical and health-related contexts. Students will also explore areas such as biochemistry, pharmacology, and the role of chemical processes in healthcare and diagnostics.
A number of specifications will be changing and prospectus entries are based on information we have to date. This means that course content may be subject to change.
