    5 GCSEs at grade 4-9 (A*-C) including English and Maths + French.  Students who have not studied GCSE but have a high level of competence in French will be considered.

You will develop the ability to communicate confidently in written and spoken French with a high level of grammatical accuracy.

You will work in a supportive learning environment where small group tasks build your confidence and teaching staff provide all the help and encouragement you need to excel.  You will have dedicated time each week to practice your conversations skills with a fluent speaker.

100% examination: Oral assessment (30%), listening, reading and translation (50%), writing (20%)

What can I do next?

The French language is spoken across all five continents, so studying French is an excellent way of enhancing your international career prospectus.  You will develop linguistic and reasoning skills that are important for any academic route.  In addition to studying French at university, A Level French is also an asset for degrees in Law, Teaching, Journalism and Communications.
