5 GCSEs (including English and Maths) at grade 4 or above.
Throughout the course you will explore a wide range of fundamental design skills providing you with the tools needed to be in control of your own design future. The course focuses on three main areas of design (Architecture, Interior and Product Design) however there are many other areas that you may wish to explore throughout the course. You will have opportunities to work alongside professional designers to give you a greater understanding of the creative industries.

Second Year Assessment
Component 1 - 60% of final grade
Component 2 - 40% of final grade with exam
In both units, students create a personal project that explores their specific area of focus through contextual research, design, model making and reflective practice.
