You will cover units and develop knowledge and understanding of child development, education and care including an understanding of childcare services, educational frameworks and roles and responsibilities within childcare settings.
Additionally, you will get a clear insight into the exciting roles and professional responsibilities that are essential to childcare. There are many opportunities to attend visits to universities and get to meet a range of professionals such as; play therapists, health visitors and speech and language therapists.

What can I do next?
The Applied General Certificate in Early Years Childcare and Education is equivalent to 1 A level and would ideally be studied alongside other Level 3 qualifications leading to Higher Education or employment.
