Overview

This course is designed to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for progression to an A Level and single Applied General qualification study programme in the Social Science curriculum. 

Details

Students will study GCSE Psychology, with themes including

• Memory, perception and development

 • Social influence and psychological problems

 • Biological psychology and the brain

 • Research methods and data analysis

 • Application of psychology to real-world issues such as sleep, criminal behaviour and mental health 

How will it be delivered?

2 x 1hr 45min exams.

Research Project, presentation and essay. 

What can I do next?

Students can progress to a Level 3 or A Level programme of study in Psychology, Sociology, Health and Social Care, Criminology, or other Humanities and Social Science subjects within the sixth form.
