You will study different types of businesses and how they operate.
Themes covered in this course are:
Exploring Business; business ownership, organisational structure, corporate objectives, stakeholders, external environment, situational analysis, competitive environment, supply and demand and enterprise and innovation.
Creating a marketing campaign; marketing objectives, marketing budgets, marketing mix and strategy, promotional mix and branding. Personal and Business Finance; current accounts, borrowing, saving and investment products, functions and features of money, sources of business finance, costs and income, cash flow forecasting, break even analysis, financial statements and ratio analysis.
Recruitment and Selection; job needs analysis, job applications, job adverts, person specification, shortlisting, interview skills, and evaluating own skills.
