5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Maths and English
Our T Level in Management and Administration is a two-year, technical study programme, designed with employers to give young people the skills required in industry.
Equivalent to 3 A Levels
To achieve this qualification, you’ll need to complete three components; a Core Component, an Occupational Specialism and an Industry Placement.
The Core Component provides knowledge and understanding. It underpins key concepts, theories and principles relevant to the T Level and the subject sector. You will cover themes such as:
The Occupational Specialism provides the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to achieve competence in Management and Administration and it provides you with the knowledge and skills required to enter employment or further study in the specific occupational area.
In the third component, you will take part in an industry placement of at least 45 days. This will provide you with the industry-specific knowledge and skills to help boost your future prospects.
A number of specifications will be changing and prospectus entries are based on information we have to date. This means that course content may be subject to change.
Core component:
• Paper A written examination
• Paper B written examination
• Employer-set project
In order to achieve a grade for core component, students must have results for both sub-components (the core (written) examination and the employer-set project). The combined results from these sub-components will be aggregated to form the overall core component grade (A*–E and U).
Occupational specialism component:
• Synoptic assignments in a occupational specialism graded distinction or merit or pass
• A 45-Day Industry Placement
Each T Level includes an in-depth industry placement that lasts at least 45 days. Students get valuable experience in the workplace; employers get early sight of the new talent in their industry.
Career progression: Following the successful completion of your T Level course, you will hold the UCAS points equivalent to three A Levels, so you will be able to progress to Higher Education to study a university-level course or a Higher Apprenticeship.
Alternatively, you may choose to enter skilled employment directly in Business Administration or Management.
