This qualification has been developed with the input of leading firms from the financial sector to ensure it gives you the essential and most up-to-date knowledge. You will look at a range of topics such as short term to long term financial needs and investigating the personal financial life cycle recommending suitable financial products to meet individual needs. You will also look at the impact of debt on individuals and explore the ethical and sustainable nature of the financial services industry.
Units covered in this course are:
• Financial Capability for the Immediate and Short Term
• Financial Capability for the Medium and Long Term
• Sustainability of an Individual’s Finances
• Sustainability of the Financial Services System
Each unit (4 in total) is assessed by external assessments as follows:
• Part A Multiple Choice Question exam – 35 marks
• Part B written paper exam (part case study based) 65 marks
